The SpeakingNick App!

I am delighted to share the headline news with you - SpeakingNick has an App!

Well, it’s a Substack App, fear not, though, it serves as one and the same, and is currently available for iPhone and iPad. Awesome news!

I believe a large proportion of you read our posts in your email, and nothing changes if you want to keep doing that. I have been using the App in beta for the last two weeks - and it is an amazing experience. So clean and convenient. In fact; the App looks like an email client. It’s a breeze.

You can enjoy just SpeakingNick in the App. Additionally, if you subscribe to other publications on the Substack platform, then they will all be together in one focused space. Substack describes the App as “the best reading experience on the internet.”

• As soon as I publish a post you will see a notification (if you want)

• The reading experience is super clean, I am sure you will agree. Kudos to Substack here.

• You can share, like, and comment on any post right from the App.

• After you download the App you will be directed through the set up process, SpeakingNick is my name, you will see this as a current subscriber. They (Substack) might suggest other publications to follow, this is down to you - just keep SpeakingNick ticked.

• Both video and audio are available directly in the App. Great news for future Podcasts!

• The App even gives the editor a break! Any changes I make to a post will be updated in the App (I’m not able to do this on email)

• There is a cool ‘Archive’ option for read posts that you might want to move from the top of your feed. All posts will always be available; either in the normal feed, or the archive section.

• I will try use the section banners on each post so you can identify which SpeakingNick section they belong to - if you need to know.

Understood, everyone has their reading habits. It might be on your computer, maybe in your preferred email client, or on a tablet direct from the website njspeak.substack.com - that’s all OK and nothing changes for you. Instant posts, no getting lost in an unruly spam folder, they will never be cut off - for me, that’s a game-changer.
